A few words about dark skies and IDA
The Southern California Desert Video Astronomers continue to share astronomy outreach events at their home base at Joshua Tree Astronomy Arts Theater, where representation for the International Dark-Sky Association is, always, a cornerstone of the ongoing efforts to promote and educate the community and attending audience about light pollution and our ability to do our part to minimize the impacts.
As an environmental organization, JTAAT, through founding member Tom O'Key, is celebrating more than a decade as an IDA Chapter, that's committed to the ideals and dedication created by the institution that is, IDA.
As representatives sharing the scientific resources provided by the IDA, we distribute throughout our region, information about all aspects and insights presented through the science and understanding established by the IDA. During the many years of our participation as delegates representing dark starry night skies, countless events have brought opportunities to screen IDA authorized films, programs and information promoting healthy ecosystems aimed at environmental wisdom.
All IDA resources are available through our outreach and we are proud of our record of achievements as representatives for this important organization.
